The advanced features in PropExpert give you a deeper understanding of propeller analysis. Use data from previous trials or data from similar vessels to anchor your model to real-world performance, or use PropExpert’s speed estimation formulas when no data is available.

2.HydroComp PropExpert 2023.1 Size almost any propeller
PropExpert determines the optimal diameter, pitch, blade area, and RPM for commercial inboard propellers with 2 to 5 blades, ranging from about 450 mm (18 inches) to about 2.5 meters (100 inches) in diameter. Both flat (Gawn) and foil section (B-series) propellers are supported, as well as ducted propellers (Kaplan). PropExpert evaluates cup-shaped and “progressive pitch” (cambered) propellers, and gives special consideration to folded propellers and propellers in stern pockets.
