KAPPA Workstation 5.30.03.07 Reservoir Dynamics Data Analysis
- Saphir (PTA) : With over 3000 active licenses, it is based on the Bourdet derivative method and includes a library of extensive analytical models (e.g. well, reservoir and boundaries). Integrated numerical model with Voronoi grid for nonlinear cases such as multiphase flow, real gas diffusion and non-Darcy flow. Additional capabilities include QA/QC (tidal correction, gradient analysis), deconvolution (von Schroeter, Levitan, Houzé methods), minifrac analysis (G-function, after-closure), test design, sensitivity analysis and integration with Topaze for matchup buildups. Supports multilayer, connected layers and 3D/3-phase numerical models with gravity.
- Topaze (RTA) : With 1400 licenses, suitable for low-quality data and uses empirical methods such as decline curves to modern methods similar to PTA. Single-well and multi-well analysis capabilities, analytical and numerical for predicting reserves and production in complex multiphase cases. Horizontal multi-fracture models, well intake correction with Amethyste models, and integration with KAPPA-Server. Diagnostic tools such as Blasingame, flowing material balance, and log-log plots.
- Rubis (HM) : Full-field 3D multi-well multiphase gravity numerical model, simple click-and-draw construction, automatic Voronoi grid. Import from GRDECL/CMG, support for unconventional resources (wriggly wells, experimental thermal model), surface network and direct link to permanent gauges. Suitable for multiple predictions, reserve calculations and intervention opportunities, with short time to history.
- Emeraude (PL) : With over 1100 licenses, for interpreting production logs in complex wells (multi-zone, horizontal). Supports multi-probe tools (e.g. Schlumberger FSI, GE Sondex MAPS), zoned/continuous processing, black-oil PVT, rate regression (non-linear, local/global), 1-3 phase flow models, PNL interpretation (water models, crossplots), SIP, temperature models (segmented/energy for DTS/steam) and APERM permeability correction.
- Azurite (Formation Testing) : Processing raw formation testing data from any server, integration vs. time and vs. depth, QA/QC, fast pretest calculations, comprehensive PTA, gradient/contact determination, automatic test identification and quality ranking, pressure profiling and mobility vs. TVD.
- KAPPA-Server : permanent gauge data management to prevent overload, intelligent filtering, de-noising, automatic shut-in detection, rate assignment, Mathpack for derivative channels and alarms, data/object/analysis sharing environment, export for P10/P50/P90 forecasts.
