Bentley Descartes 23.00.02.030 3D image processing at any scale
Descartes is software that enables quick and easy manipulation of 3D reality experiences at any scale, as well as cross-section generation, terrain and line extraction, and orthophotos, 3D PDFs, and iModels generation.
Using Descartes you can integrate your meshes with GIS and engineering data to enable visual search, navigation, visualization and animation of that information in the visual text of the mesh.
These are rich, scalable 3D real-world meshes created with Bentley’s reality modeling software, ContextCapture. Raster images in the form of aerial images, binary images and raster digital elevation models (DEM) are fully supported in Descartes.
It is a comprehensive image management environment with conversion (raster to vector and vector to raster), cleanup and editing tools that extend MicroStation’s raster management tools.
Point clouds can be enriched, segmented, and stratified, then you can use Descartes’ capabilities for advanced 3D modeling, cross-leveling, contours, and terrain extraction to quickly and efficiently construct AS conditions.
Model and support the design process. As a result, you can better evaluate point clouds and produce more accurate engineering models. Animations and presentations can also be produced for presentations.
You can generate very large scalable terrain models from many sources, including point clouds, contours, digital raster elevation models, and irregular triangular meshes.
Scalable terrain models are synchronized with the main data sources to stay up-to-date. It allows you to have a global, current and integrated view of all your data to perform analyzes using a variety of display modes and generate animations and visualizations.
