EIVA NaviScan 9.7.9 River and sea navigation River and sea navigation and positioning software
EIVA NaviScan is the leading sonar, sensor and laser data acquisition software! The purpose of NaviScan is to collect data from multibeam sensors and generate files containing the exact position of each scan. To do this, navigation information is required as well as gyro, roll/pitch/heave and bathymetric sensors.
NaviScan Config (Offline/Setup) includes several utilities for setting up the NaviScan system and processing raw data files. NaviScan SonarDisplay and NaviScan Target are applications added to EIVA NaviScan.
These applications are distributed as part of the NaviScan installer. NaviScan SonarDisplay is used for waterfall display of sidescan data and can be operated online or offline. NaviScan Target is used for target processing.
NaviScan SonarDisplay can be operated in two modes, online or offline. During online operation, when NaviScan Online records the sidescan data to an SBD file, SonarDisplay can be used as a local or remote waterfall display. In offline mode, SonarDisplay can be used for playback and target selection.

NaviScan Target facilitates the processing of each target. SonarControl is accessible from the SonarDisplay application. It provides special control capabilities for supported sonars.
Features
Sensor Interface and Logging Capabilities
Both NaviScan and NaviPac can connect and integrate many different sensors.
1. Surface Positioning and Motion (GPS, Gyro, IMU)
Whole vessel based projects can be easily set up in NaviPac using intuitive graphical definition tools. This video covers basic project definition, geodetic surveying and vessel navigation setup.
2. Subsurface Positioning (USBL, DVL, INS, Gyro, IMU)
Remote and subsea vehicles are set up in a similar way to the host vessel – simple and intuitive. It is possible to add instruments, positioning sources (transponders, INS, LBL etx) and define weighting and Kalman filter settings.
3. SBE – Single Beam Echo Sounder
Single beam echo sounders and other single source data providers can be easily connected to NaviPac via standard drivers or enhanced user configurable drivers. The data will be displayed in the Display and DataMon of Helmsman. Single source data can be displayed as a point cloud in the HMD – you can automatically export a DTM from it.
4. FLS – Forward Looking Sonar (Wedge and Mosaic)
NaviScan supports a range of forward looking sonars, e.g. Tritech, Didson and Norbit. Data will be interfaced and recorded in NaviScan and displayed in the HMD as a standalone wedge display in the map view and as a 3D wedge display.
5. MBE Multibeam Echosounder (Sounding and DTM)
Multibeam echosounders, lasers and side scanners will be interfaced and recorded in NaviScan. Display and quality control can be easily done in the HMD by using the original point cloud, terrain model or data profile. The use of multiple windows allows QC by viewing data density, model standard deviation, etc. Built-in semi-automatic cleaning tools enable instant delivery or preliminary DTM.
6. SSS Side Scan Sonar
Side scan data is interfaced in NaviScan and recorded in SBD data format. Data can be displayed in real time or played back in a special waterfall data display. This data display will also enable target marking (events) and image management.
