New features
1. Faster model reconstruction and texturing
Tired of wasting time waiting for results? Good news! RealityCapture 1.3 has made a significant leap in speed and performance, with the main improvements being faster model reconstruction, up to twice as fast depending on the size of the model, and texture calculations up to three times faster than the previous version.
2. Improved one-click model generation
Press the “Start” button, wait a moment, and you can witness the miracle moment. The workflow has been optimized in this version, and clean, textured high-polygon models, as well as simplified low-polygon models with baked diffuse and normal maps, can be generated with just a click of the mouse.
3. Upload directly to Nira
If you are an architect, engineer, or other person who often deals with large models, you may already be familiar with Nira, a platform that can render large 3D assets in real time, and conduct interactive web-based collaborative reviews on any device, including smartphones and tablets.
Nira provides fast model upload plugins and multi-threaded model streaming. It can also be used to edit RealityCapture models, optimizing and processing each element separately.
In RealityCapture 1.3, you can upload models directly to your Nira account, complementing the existing support for uploading to Sketchfab and Cesium.
